Our Beliefs

  • We believe that there is one God, who is the creator of all. He is all-knowing, omnipresent, unchanging, sovereign and holy. He is our Father, the Lord of the Bible and is not “energy” or the “universe.”

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was both human and God simultaneously. He sacrificed His life through crucifixion to pay the price for the sins of all mankind and defeat death. In fulfillment of the Scriptures, He rose from the grave and is the only way to eternal life with the Father.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us when we accept Jesus as your Savior and guides us by convicting us of sin, bestowing and growing spiritual gifts, comforting us and transforming us to be more like Christ.

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and that it is true, without error and still applicable to our daily lives.

  • We believe that we are each created in God’s image and exist to worship God and be in relationship with Him. We cannot earn His love or relationship. It is a gift that is given to us freely by His grace.

  • We believe that Heaven and Hell are real and that we will either be eternally separated from God in sin or exist with Him eternally through our faith in Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that through prayer, we are able to communicate directly with God because of Jesus’ sacrifice.

  • We believe in striving to reflect the guidelines set forth in 1 Peter in our lives:

    • Live holy lives (1 Peter 1:14-16)

    • Reverently fear and trust God (1 Peter 1:17-21)

    • Be honest and loving (1 Peter 2:1-3)

    • Become like Christ (1 Peter 2:1-3)

    • Be above reproach (1 Peter 2:12-17)

    • Imitate Christ in all social roles - master, servant, wife, church member, neighbor, mother (1 Peter 2:18 - 3:17)

    • Christ is a model for obedience to God in the midst of suffering (1 Peter 3:18 - 4:11)

    • Be thankful for the privilege of suffering for Christ (1 Peter 4:13-18)

    • Trust God for deliverance (1 Peter 4:19)

    • Be clear-minded and self-controlled, love each other deeply and hospitality without grumbling (1 Peter 4:7-9)
